Mark Messick

Mark Messick has been working as a Supervising Sound Editor/Designer since graduating from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking in 2002.

Since that time, he lives in Los Angeles, honing his sound effects skills on films at all budget levels. He has done extensive work with Steve Flick, the Oscar-winning sound designer of films such as Spiderman, Robocop, Speed and Terminator 3. Mark was also nominated for an Emmy for his work on episode 6 the HBO series JOHN ADAMS. While his creative juices are primarily stimulated by the fantastic and the hyper-realistic, his specialty continues to be versatility. Mark is equally comfortable with the subtle and the bombastic - whatever the job requires. He takes pride in meeting challenges head-on, and creating whatever sonic reality the storytellers require.

Mark has worked on projects at every level. Whether he is working on low budget independent or major studio releases, they all get the same level of professional treatment.
